IAAMA Membership Categories

The IAAMA offers three categories of membership: for the practitioner of aromatherapy - Full Membership, for those enrolled in IFA accredited course - Student Membership and general membership in the form of Friend / Journal Members.

 

Full Member

Full members of the IAAMA must meet the current training requirements set by the IAAMA, hold a current Senior / Level 2/ workplace first aid certification and have current Professional Indemnity & Public Liability Insurance cover. Full members hold a recognised qualification in IAAMA accredited courses Full Membership runs from January 1st to December 31st and is renewable annually in January.

Full members are entitled to:

  • use the initials M-IAAMA
  • attend Annual & National General meetings,
  • have full voting rights in all aspects of the Association,
  • stand for council & state co-ordinator positions,
  • access all IAAMA workshops and lectures,
  • automatic subscription to the IAAMA national quarterly journal "Simply Essential",
  • advertise under the IAAMA logo,
  • have access to Business promotion merchandise,
  • provider status with many private health insurance companies that recognise Aromatherapy.

APPLY for FULL MEMBERSHIP

 

Student member

Student members of the IAAMA are currently enrolled in an Aromatherapy course accredited by the IAAMA.

Student membership runs for one year, with a maximum of two years whilst enrolled in an accredited course from the date of joining.

Student Members are entitled to:

  • attend Annual & National General meetings,
  • access all IAAMA workshops and lectures,
  • automatic subscription to the IAAMA national quarterly journal "Simply Essential",
  • fast tracking upgrade to Full member status.

APPLY for STUDENT MEMBERSHIP

 

Friend member

Friend members of the IAAMA are interested person's from the general public who do not have any specific qualifications but are interested in aromatherapy.

Friend membership runs from January 1st to December 31st and is renewable annually.

Friend Members are entitled to:

  • attend Annual & National General meetings,
  • access all IAAMA workshops and lectures,
  • automatic subscription to the IAAMA national quarterly journal "Simply Essential".

Journal

For those interested in receiving the IAAMA 's quarterly journal "Simply Essential". The journal is published in March, June, September and December.
