Welcome to IAAMA

The International Aromatherapy and Aromatic Medicine Association, formerly the IFA Australia branch, is the leading independent non-profit professional association dedicated to support aromatherapy practitioners in Australia and overseas.

With the inclusion of Aromatherapy and Aromatic Medicine qualifications in the National Health Training Package, the Association supports the development of Aromatic Medicine and that high standards of education and practice are maintained by IAAMA accredited practitioners.

The IAAMA is also actively involved in furthering the public's perception and knowledge of therapeutic aromatherapy and its safe and effective application in everyday life.

All IAAMA members are bound to a high standard of ethical and professional conduct through adherence to practitioner accreditation standards, Code of Ethics and Code of Practice.

Membership with the International Aromatherapy and Aromatic Medicine Association provides various levels of membership so everyone passionate about Aromatherapy can join a growing international organization dedicated to the promotion and advancement of Aromatherapy and Aromatic Medicine in natural medicine practice.

New to the IAAMA website are the Forums where members can discuss the many aspects of aromatherapy.

IAAMA runs an annual conference for its members and interested natural health, complementary, integrative and medical practitioners.

The conferences brings both international and local speakers together to present the latest research in aromatic medicine and aromatherapy.

From the 1st to 7th  October 2014 IAAMA will be celebrating Aromatherapy Awareness Week with events held by IAAMA groups and members across the country.
